My name is Peter Hargreaves Managing Director of Allkare.
At 17 I had two choices; to go down coal mine pits or join up.
I made the right decision by joining the Royal Marines. Joining up, doing the commando course and passing out of training gave me a sense of pride, responsibility, integrity and honesty when dealing with people… a few smacks around the head taught me quickly!
I spent a great 10 years in the Marines as I did a lot of travel and saw plenty of action… exactly why young men join the forces. The Marines taught me to dive and I left the Marines after 10 years and spent another 10 years saturation diving off shore in the oilfield industry… a great lifestyle but I now had a family and was getting fed up with not being at home.
I set up Allkare in Jan 2000. The first two years were good and then the Independent Insurance Company went bankrupt owing me a substantial amount of money. As you can appreciate this caused me a lot of problems and I had to sit down and talk to everyone I owed money to.
It took me two years BUT everyone including the taxman got paid… I lost £57,000. I suppose justice was done as a couple of the Director’s of the Independent Insurance Company were jailed for fraud.
I am blessed with great staff, the majority have been here for years and all will go the extra yard to ensure your satisfaction. I have built up Allkare on the following philosophy…Giving a Fair Price for a Good Job and Being Honest With You, the Customer.
